Nothing too out of the ordinary amongst the many releases of Man or Astro-Man?. They still have their trademark theme of cheesy science fiction embedded in hyperactive surf rock. But unlike their later material, Your Weight on the Moon is more down to earth, as if they're concentrating more on their music rather than their gimmick. Not that this is a bad thing, since all the songs have more of a rock & roll feel to them, as if they could be the perfect house band for a Sean Connery-era Bond-in-outer-space movie. A worthwhile album, even if not too much new ground is covered. ~ Mike DaRonco
