  • O'Brien's brand of the country-blues weaves in strands of Cajun and bluegrass with a distinct pop influence. Equally eclectic is her choice of tunes by the likes of Lennon & McCartney, Abbey Lincoln, and Percy Mayfield. But as diverse as the elements may seem, it makes for a satisfying whole. At the center of it all is O'Brien's sweet, clear alto voice. ~ Tim Sheridan
Professional Reviews
No Depression (11-12/00, p.119) - "...Presents [O'Brien] as a bluesy jazz diva, with pleasant...sublime results....an eclectic blend of folky acosutic guitars, plaintive pianos, and saucy bass/drum arrangements..."
