Red Sea Road is Ellie Holcomb's follow-up to her critically and commercially well-received solo debut, As Sure as the Sun. It returns that album's producers, Brown Bannister and Ben Shive. A personal record made in a period of loss and illness within her family and greater community, lead single "Find You Here" was inspired by finding strength after her own father's cancer diagnosis. The record's tone is far from brooding, however, as Holcomb mixes energetic country-pop and more reflective acoustic fare that both convey a bearing of composure. ~ Marcy Donelson
