Performer Notes

The Magnetic Fields' 2012 studio album Love at the Bottom of the Sea is the group's tenth full-length album and the follow-up to 2010's Realism. Once again featuring singer/songwriter Stephen Merritt, the album showcases Merritt's move away from the more eclectic sound of Realism and back toward the band's classic synth and acoustic guitar pop approach. Love at the Bottom of the Sea is the first by the Magnetic Fields on Merge since 1999's 69 Love Songs, and features the single "Andrew in Drag."
