Ninja Turtle wannabes have an advantage over their parents; the children want to learn martial arts now ! How are parents to decide if their children are old enough, what styles are protective of young bodies, and what one should look for in classes or instructors? Mitchell, a British martial arts expert, gives some helpful information in this well-illustrated book. However, much of the text, which includes suggested exercises and games to aid in the learning process, is intended for instructors who are already teaching children. In attempting to appeal to two audiences, parents and teachers, Mitchell fails to address either completely. Buy for demand only.-- J. Sara Paulk, Concord P.L., N.H.
