About the Author

Kristina Taylor is a garden historian and writer. Born and brought up in Edinburgh, her travels as far afield as Australia, New Zealand, the South Seas, North and South America awoke in her a deep love of landscape and gardens worldwide and she now organises guided tours of the gardens of Japan. She has been Chair of the Japanese Garden Society Scotland since 2008, and is Vice-chair of the Garden History Society Scotland. She writes regularly for a number of publications, including Garden History Society Journal, Archaeologia Cantiana, Historic Gardens Review, Hortus, and Country Life.
