About the Author

Larry D. Benson was a professor of English at Harvard University. He was the general editor of the Riverside Chaucer and published widely on Chaucer. Siegfried Wenzel is professor emeritus of English at the University of Pennsylvania and the chair of the Chaucer Library Committee.
