About the Author

Margot Tasca is a Melbourne-based writer, former art gallery director and tonal painter. She has researched extensively on Australian artists working in the first half of the 20th century, with a particular focus on the Melbourne art community. Many of these artists have been largely overshadowed by the preference for modern art in the later part of the century. The biography of William Beckwith McInnes is her second biography dealing with this period. Her first biography on Percy Leason was published in 2016.
