Verified PurchaseAs a librarian. what I enjoyed about WELCOME ( Vol
1 of Stephane Zorro's GRANDMOTHER'S STORIES) was the very human
characters of the multicultural stories. this is an excellent book
of modern day fables with a positive behavioral twist for children
to identify perhaps their feelings of being excluded, being
different, excessive shyness, or the lacking of confidence, or
displaying uncharitable behaviors. All the stories have positive
outcomes demonstrating the character's empathy, kindness, and
collaboration for the common good, lost in today's social mores. I
especially loved the very expressive and age appropriate
illustrations done at a level that will resonate with the children
as well as the reader.
This makes an excellent gift for any parent, grandparent, aunt or
uncle to share feelings and conversations with family members. I
also see great value for this book to the professional community of
child mental health professionals as a means of a positive
