"A distinctly 'Guilbertian' world, the realm of the off-beat and
bizarre, the incongruous, and the unexpected. [Like] Sempe with a
dash of Doisneau, Tati, [and] Monty Python [Nicholas Guilbert] has
an eye fueled by insatiable curiosity, childlike wonder, gentle
indulgence, and amused irony."
-Antoine de Caunes "Paris! Paradise! As bold as the neon sign for a
burlesque show at the Moulin Rouge, [this book is] the perfect
antidote to the perennially popular, self-depracating Parisian
sport of 'Paris bashing.'"
-Cecile Guilbert
