About the Author

CYNTHIA R. KALODNER, Ph.D., is director of the Counseling Psychology program at Towson University and a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland. She has written extensively about eating disorders and disturbances and has made presentations across the country. Kalodner is known for her group counseling with girls and women who have eating disturbances and has been featured in a videotape about eating disturbances called In Search for Acceptance: The High Cost of Looking Good.
