About the Author

Writers Dannielle Owens-Reid and Kristin Russo have been dialoguing with LGBTQ youth and families and friends for three years through their award-winning website, Everyone Is Gay (Winner of the 2012 Bloggie Award for Best LGBT Blog). They have also conducted an ongoing US-wide tour of college and high school campuses, as well as speaking engagements at places like SXSW, to increase awareness of LGBTQ issues. As of Fall 2013, they have begun building a Parents Project section of their site filled with resources and advice aimed specifically at parents.
