Reviews

"Fans of action and fans of science, especially budding naturalists, paleontologists, and archeologists, will find a lot to enjoy here." -- School Library Journal on the Terra Tempo series "Imagine if Herge has written Look and Learn , if he'd allowed Tin Tin to become the central figure in that magazine, and later on, compendium, if he'd been allowed to do that and had been guided by a think tank of geologists, botanists, paleontologists and pulp adventure writers, then the finished product, what would have been The Four Corners of Time ." -- Mass Movement magazine on the Terra Tempo series "If you know kids interested in earth sciences, especially dinosaurs and the like (but you also get a lot of history and geology), this will be a fun read for them. You and your inner 12-year-old, too." -- Detroit News on the Terra Tempo series "This Earth-science-fueled graphic series from Portland's David Shapiro and Christopher Herndon, of Craigmore Creations, delivers natural history lessons that enhance the drama, action and the fun in these stories for your middle reader." -- Register Guard on the Terra Tempo series "Edifying and entertaining; recommended for serious dinosaur aficionados looking for scholarly, in-depth information." Kirkus Reviews "Shapiro packs the story with scientific information about evolution and natural resources, with a strong plea for careful, thoughtful use and conservation of those resources. Herndon's colorful art, including maps and charts, will help readers understand the science while building on an already exciting story." Kat Kan, Booklist "The Academy of Planetary Evolution takes concepts which could be considered dull when read in a textbook and brings them to life in a full color graphic novel that will keep audience's attention without question." Katie Cardwell, nerdophiles.com "Dinosaurs, a nod to Alfred Russel Wallace, and stressing the importance of learning knowledge for knowledge's sake and taking care of our planet? All in one graphic novel? It not only entertained my son and made him think. Adults can get something out of it, too." Michael D. Barton, thedispersalofdarwin.wordpress.com
