About the Author

Peter Covington is ex- Head of Post 16 and Sociology at Whitley Abbey Community School , Coventry. In recent OFSTED inspections, his department was rated as 'very good' and recently, his students have had a 100% pass rate at AS and A2 level. The school, placed low down the league tables with less than 30% of students obtaining grades A*-C, has prepared him well to target the average and below-average student. Peter has also written extensively for the online resource Sociology Central and for his own students. In addition we have Mike Moores as consultant / advisor on the project.
