Caleb Kelly is a New Zealand-born writer, curator and producer in the fields of experimental music, sound arts and performance. A lecturer at Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney, he is the author of Cracked Media: The Sound of Malfunction (The MIT Press, 2009).
"Responding to the increasingly frequent contention that 'sound' itself is a category of contemporary art practice, this rewarding collection of voices illuminates the sometimes distinct, but more often overlapping zones of the auditory, the musical, and the sonic, from Luigi Russolo's Art of Noises to our heterogeneous present. Fascinating and useful." - Marina Rosenfeld , artist and composer, co-chair, Music/Sound, Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts, Bard College
