About the Author

Liz Astor, Lady Astor of Hever, lives in Kent with her husband Johnnie who is the Defence Minister in the House of Lords. They have two children, Charles and Olivia, who is autistic, as well as Liz's daughter Natalya and Johnnie's three daughters from their respective previous marriages. Liz's book Loving Olivia, her memoir of caring for her autistic daughter, was published by Rodale in 2006. Liz is involved with several autism charities and her interests are in the arts, travel and reading. Since You Went Away is her first novel.
