Perfect for small hands, this mini-hardback book is a gentle introduction to shapes
Katja Spitzer grew up in East Germany and studied illustration at Martin Luther Universität in Halle and Illustration at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig. Katja has illustrated and designed fiction book covers and currently lives in Berlin, Germany.
Just as in the rest of the books in the series, I am amazed at how
the simple colors and shapes can combine to make such lively
illustrations. The progression from single labels to simple
sentences mirrors the change from simple plane shapes to the
3-dimensional shapes and the more complex scenes. It all works
together very well. What concepts will Katja add to the collection
next?
—The Fairview Review
A wonderful and interactive shape book for little ones and
preschool learners. […] the questions posed throughout the book […]
make this a great first shape book. Along with the high contrast,
simple and bright illustrations, the small shape of the book itself
along with sturdy binding allows this to be a great book for small
hands.
