Dr. Weinberg is the author or editor of four books (two monographs and two edited volumes). He is Associate Editor of Ethnographic Studies and Sexuality & Culture and a referee for the Journal of Sexual Medicine. He is a contributor to The Routledge Handbook of Deviant Behavior, edited by the late Clifton Bryant (2012). Dr. Weinberg is currently working with data gathered from a sample of sadomasochists, who were interviewed about their coming-out experiences. Dr. Newmahr is an ethnographer and the author of Playing on the Edge: Sadomasochism, Risk and Intimacy (Indiana University Press, 2011), an ethnography of an SM community that theorizes risk-taking and emotion from an interactionist perspective. She is Associate Editor of Symbolic Interaction (Wiley-Blackwell). She has published several papers in sociology and interdisciplinary journals. Most recently, she completed an invited chapter for the anthology Life as Performance: A Dramaturgical Handbook (Ashgate, expected 2012) and an article on the eroticism of Renaissance Faire. She is also a contributor to The Routledge Handbook of Deviant Behavior (2012). She is currently working on her second monograph.
