Breeding expert Dirk Willem Rosie has worked for the KWPN (Royal Dutch Warmblood Studbook) since 1994 and is editor-in-chief of the Dutch equestrian magazine In De Strengen. He began his career in journalism as an art editor and theatre critic, and his passion for horses initially found expression through his contributions to the magazine De Hoefslag. Rosie was a 2004 presenter at the Global Dressage Forum alongside physiologist Dr Eric van Breda, where the pair offered an examination of how the horse can be a 'happy athlete' if correctly 'built' - in all aspects - for what he is expected to do. Rosie lives in Haaksbergen, The Netherlands, where he and his wife run a horse breeding farm.
