About the Author

Paula Turner first developed an interest in Roman trade while studying for her first degree at Bristol University. Her subsequent research for a Ph.D. at the Institute of Archaeology, University of London encompassed the numismatic evidence for Roman trade with India and examined the interrelationship between the Roman imported coinage and the local indigenous coinage.
