Kristy Rice wears many hats: entrepreneur, mama, author, celebrity invitation designer, and stylist, but her first love is painting. She is the author of the Painterly Days and Cutting Gardens watercoloring series and The Painter's Wedding: Inspired Celebrations with an Artistic Edge. www.momentaldesigns.com
First of all, the book itself is beautiful, they do say dont judge
a book by its cover but here, please do! The pages are easily
removed but dont fall out on their own spontaneously so thats also
very good. Each of the designs is printed twice, on both sides of
the page. So if you muck up one, you still have a second go at it.
the linework is not black, it will blend beautifully into your
paint and will look like a light sketch underneath, if it shows at
all. Its really quite liberating. Its really good for beginners
really, it forgives a lot, you can make mistakes and have them
looking cool in the end. The paper is gorgeous, its 90 lbs so not
the thickest watercolor paper out there but it takes water
beautifully. Overall, I love this book! it would be great for any
watercolorist, specially beginners. - Iris Eenmae,
