I had a severe bone disease that crippled me in late elementary
school. I was in leg braces, crutches and a body cast, all before
middle school. I couldn’t walk well, or without intense
bone-on-bone pain. I hated my life, and was a victim of my own
circumstances. Nothing came easy. I wanted to prove the world wrong
