Josh Cochran is my favorite kind of artist: one that manages to
evoke humor and beauty at the same time. I love his book Inside Out
NY for all the reasons I love the city itself. It has wit and
whimsy and it is deliciously crammed with detail and color.

As a born-and-raised New Yorker, I can tell you that Josh is
capturing a very authentic view of the city. There really is a
sunglass-wearing striped cat living inside one of The New York
Public Library's lion sculptures.
Josh's vibrant depiction of New York captures everything I love
about my home town: the iconic architecture, the buzzing street
corners, those monkeys that are always climbing all over the
Guggenheim...
I could spend hours looking at Josh's drawings! True to New York,
there is something happening on every inch. This book is a
mesmerizing behind-the-scenes tour through the best secret parts of
the city.
