About the Author

Katie A. Pfohl is curator of modern and contemporary art at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Pfohl holds a PhD from Harvard University in history of art and architecture and received her B.A. in American studies from Northwestern University. A graduate of the Whitney Museum of Art Independent Study Program in New York, Pfohl has worked at the LSU Museum of Art in Baton Rouge, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
