Mariko Tamaki is a writer known for her graphic novel This One Summer, a Caldecott Honor Book and Printz Award winner cocreated by her cousin Jillian Tamaki, among other notable novels. See her work at marikotamaki.blogspot.com. Gus Allen is a cocreator and the original illustrator for the Lumberjanes series and a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design.

This second volume in the middle-grade series maintains all of the best elements of both its prose predecessor and its comics roots, from its zippy signature argot (bons mots such as "Where the Roxane Gay are you going?") to a diverse cast of characters . . . More feisty feminist fun.
