Zhang Jie is a fifth-generation "inner door" student of the Cheng Ting Hua Bagua lineage. Zhang's teacher, Liu Xing Han, was one of a handful of fourth-generation Bagua masters in China. Professor Zhang arrived in the United States in 1990, and now teaches Chinese culture, calligraphy, qi gong, martial arts, and massage in Seattle, Washington. Randy Chung has studied various forms of Chinese martial arts, including Shaolin kung fu, Hung Gar, and T'ai Chi. He has studied Bagua Zhang under Zhang Jie since 2005. Chung currently resides in Seattle, WA. Richard Shapiro has studied with Zhang Jie since 2001 and teaches T'ai Chi and qi gong in Phoenix, Arizona.
