Reviews

"Definitely a must for any library or person who is interested in medieval and renaissance textiles. The book is beautifully illustrated and presented, the information is readable (unlike some 'dry' exhibition catalogues) and the drool factor is high."--Textile Research Centre
"Showing some 30 examples of rare and sumptuous textiles spanning 200 years ... all are photographed both complete and in close-up, so that you can see every pulse of the painstaking split stitching, every etched line of the couched metal-wrapped threads that still glimmer behind the sinuous figures of saints, the gloss of the untwisted silk 'floss' and the delicacy of the silk shading, where the colours are blended into one another to give the impressions of the three dimensions." -- (10/01/2018)
"Miraculous preserved textiles"--Telegraph (06/01/2018)
"Textiles that brilliantly illuminate the world of the late medieval"--Church Time (07/01/2018)
