About the Author

Catherine grew up in the Lake District, walking most weekends with her family and friends. It was from a young age therefore that she developed her love of walking, outdoor environments and in particular, the Lake District National Park. After moving away from the area to study and start her career in environmental conservation and forestry, Catherine moved back to Cumbria to enjoy this special part of the world with her husband and two daughters.
