This is a moving love story between two girls in high school. Written in Peters's trademark breezy, humorous style with a layer of deep feeling just beneath the surface, this is a worthy successor to Nancy Garden's classic young adult coming out novel, Annie on My Mind.

Keeping You A Secret is a coming of age story about a young girl discovering her sexuality. It is a young adult fiction book and so is suitable for young girls questioning their sexuality or coming out. I read this book when I was a young teen in a similar situation, it was an enjoyable read and I felt like it helped me face these kind of issues in my life.
