Just like in Remember The Goal, a movie about a girl's cross country team, It's More Than Just A Race is about overcoming no matter what life throws at you. It seeks to show through visceral and actual life experience, why goals, passions and commitments are so important to achieving a rich life. It is also a book for true runners, those who are or want to be competitive. It's also for those who want to understand the progression of what an amateur runner's life was like before all of the money and professionalism poured in. It will show how that transition happened. I lived in that world...I was chronologically on both sides.
