About the Author

Bayo Ogunjimi was Professor of African Oral Literature and English at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. His essays have appeared in journals around the world. He died in 1996. Abdul-Rasheed Na'Allah has taught African performance, literature and poetics in Canada, Nigeria and the US.
