About the Author

Dr. Ana Maria Fernandez-Maldonado has more than twenty years of professional experience, working as an architect, urban designer, urban planner and urban researcher in Latin America. She now works as an urban researcher in Europe, at the Technical University of Delft. Her research on urban ICT studies focuses on developing countries and urban deprivation issues. She is the author of several book chapters, journal articles and conference papers.
