Business is poor at Mrs Hippo's Pizza Parlour. William and Mrs Hippo are worried, but when accident-prone Ellie Bear comes to play with William, she takes all their attention! Mrs Hippo decides to take the youngsters out for a ride in her motorbike sidecar, to keep Ellie out of harm's way. After an eventful journey through the town, they end up on the beach, where Ellie writes her name in the sand, and William copies the idea with the message "Mrs Hippo's Pizzas Are The Best!" That night there is a long queue outside the Pizza Parlour, and Mrs Hippo and William have to work hard to keep up with demand ...

About the Author

AUTHOR: Vivian French is a world-renowned children's author and storyteller who has extensive experience of young children through her work in playgroups, drama workshops and theatre. She has written bestselling titles such as Hedgehogs Don't Eat Hamburgers and Guinea Pigs on the Go and has been nominated for many awards. Vivian French lives in Edinburgh. ILLUSTRATOR: Clive Scruton is a successful picture book artist whose titles include Sidney the Monster , It's a Go to the Park Day and A Goodnight Kind of Feeling. He was also the illustrator of Guinea Pigs on the Go, also written by Vivien French. Clive Scruton lives in East Grinstead, West Sussex.
