About the Author

This is the first book for Classic by Andrei Shepelev and Huib Ottens, both acknowledged experts on Horton aircraft.

Andrei Shepelev has been interested in aviation, especially in unconventional and lesser-known designs, from an early age. He is an authority on BMW/Jumo jet-powered all-wing aircraft. Based in Russia, the curator/archivist of a regional aircraft museum, he has studied the Horten projects for many years and published articles on them in Russia. He not only relies on German design and test records but has also unearthed much unknown information on the concept, its design and construction from previously unknown sources.

Huib Ottens, who lives in Holland has been researching the history of the Horten Brothers and their flying wing designs for some 20 years.
