About the Author

Jaime Suchlicki has been Professor of History and International Studies at the University of Miami since 1975. He is currently the Emilio Bacardi Moreau Professor and Director of the Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies. He edited the Journal of Inter-American Studies from 1982 until 1996.
