Jan Pienkowski has worked as an art director in advertising, publishing, and the BBC children's television series, "Watch". He is also a director of a greetings card company, as well as a children's book creator. Jan has illustrated the hugely popular Meg and Mog books, written by Helen Nicholl, and has twice won the Kate Greenaway Medal, first for his illustrations to Joan Aiken's "The Kingdom Under the Sea", and then for "Haunted House".
Newly renovated for its 25th anniversary, with eerie added surprises and a new cover, Haunted House by Jan Pienkowski has never looked better. Ghosts still lurk behind doorways, every cupboard hides an unappetizing bug (or worse) and a pull of the tabs in the bedroom... well, let's just say there won't be much sleeping there. (Aug.)
