About the Author

Donald Kenrick is the author of Gypsies: From the Ganges to the Thames (UH Press, 2004) and The Romani World: A historical dictionary of the Gypsies (UH Press, 2004). He was also editor of the three-volume series, The Gypsies during the Second World War (UH Press, 1997, 1999, 2006).Grattan Puxon is a journalist who helped found the Gypsy Council in Great Britain and later became Secretary of the International Romany Union.
