I read this with our 10 year old son who is home schooled. He loves this story and is inspired to study hard when he considers the achievements of Ben Carson and his difficult circumstances. My son has asked for us to read this again this year - and our 14 year old son has also wanted to listen in.
The chapter where Ben's mum makes him read 2 books a week is a favourite in our household, as it reinforces concepts we hold dear such as, parents encouraging kids to excel, and students taking their learning into their own hands!

A must read for anyone, any age. And read it again in five years. And again five years after that. And five after that. And five...
