After witnessing the events surrounding the funeral services of Rick and Jamie Blaylock, there are certain impressions that will forever be imprinted in my memory. At the conclusion of the chapel service, I will never forget Paulette Blaylock coming out of the family room, approaching the casket of her beloved husband and daughter and standing to address those congregated. As Paulette stood there, a supernatural calm fell upon the room. In my heart and spirit, I identified this as the Spirit of God among us. Appearing as an angel, Paulette flowed, as her entire being was itself filled with the Holy Spirit. The words she spoke were God's words and the message was clear. She said we were not to weep and mourn for her husband and daughter. This was a day to rejoice, it was their graduation day! Their trials of this life were over, as they now possessed their glorified bodies and now lived in their new heavenly home. -Ted Goode Myers Funeral Service & Crematory Porterville, CA Paulette Blaylock is a person whose character has been tempered by the experience of life. Her story is one of victory and peace in the midst of incredible circumstances. I was with her when the news came that her husband and daughter had been promoted to heaven by means of a tragic auto accident. Through that sudden loss, God gave Paulette peace and a song. Only recently was she able to share with me the details of God's sustaining hand in her life. G.A. Young wrote some words which are descriptive of Paulette's victory: "Some thro' the waters, Some thro' the flood, Some thro' the fire, Some thro' the blood, 6 Paulette Blaylock Some thro' great sorrow, But God gives a song; In the night season, and all the day long." Paulette's story deserves to be told because her ministry and message is vitally used of God to encourage others in the midst of tremendous loss. I consider it a privilege to be her friend in Christ; and commend her and her book to you. -Joe McMahan, Pastor Church of the Nazarene Lindsay, CA There are times in life when we feel that God has definitely and divinely ordered our footsteps to be in the lives of others to share in the hurts and the glories. It was a black and saddened morning when this ministry was birthed. Out of death came life. For this cause I believe that this book will be the beginning of new life for many souls. The price of this ministry could not be measured in silver and gold, but in the love that Paulette has for God. Paulette writes as the Holy Spirit inspires. John 12:24 says, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit." -Pastor Dorothy Evans Refuge Christian Center Pasadena, CA
