Reviews

"Midge Raymond gives authors easy and practical advice on how to promote their book, find new readers, and engage with fans...This book is exceptionally well written, and is broken into manageable sections that allow authors to easily glean ideas for better promotion. After each section the author gives tangible advice on what to do with 30 minutes of spare time, 15 minutes of spare time, or just a couple minutes each day. Whether you are a seasoned writer, or just beginning your first novel, this is an important book to own. You will find yourself going back to it again and again for reference and assistance." -- Portland Book Review"Raymond covers groundwork, promotion, book tours, book launches, book groups, social media, and much more. And while I've thought about many of these things, Everyday Book Marketing catches the details that are important (mailing lists, length of readings, not over-promoting, giveaways) and stresses effective ways to get the work out important without bogging the reader down in particular tools." -- Literary Ashland"Everyday Book Marketing is an indispensable resource for aspiring authors, novice authors, self-published authors, and even authors from large mainstream houses with their own promotions departments. Midge Raymond has written this for authors still bound to the Day Job and those with already full social calendars. Even five minutes thinking about how to promote your book will make all the difference. The practical advice contained within has more worth than many other alleged guidebooks..." -- Chicago Center for Literature and Photography"An incredible resource for writers of all kinds...It's chock-full of really helpful tips, tools, takeaways, and more...It's creative and inspiring. I love the format Midge has for the book, with the first half so full of awesome resources and the second full of authors' first-hand experiences with book marketing. Several of her tips and suggestions are out-of-the-box and unique...This is the kind of book that you'll want to buy and highlight throughout with things you'll want to come back to for reference." -- Seattle Wrote
