About the Author

BONNIE WHEELER is Director of the Medieval Studies Program at Southern Methodist University, writes about medieval literature and culture, and she is the editor of journal Arthuriana. She is also the editor of Palgrave's New Middle Ages series, for which she has recently edited Listening to Heloise. - JOHN CARMI PARSONS holds a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from the University of Toronto. He is the author of Eleanor of Castile (SMP, 1995) and co-editor of Capetian Women (forthcoming from Palgrave).
