About the Author

Dr Vagif Sultanly was born in the Kurdamir region of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 1981 he graduated from the philological faculty of the Baku State University and he holds the honorary position of professor in the department of Modern Azerbaijan Literature at the Baku State University He worked as a correspondent in a literary program in the American "Liberty and Free Europe" radio station's editorial office in Azerbaijan during the 80's and was the editor-in-chief of "Khudaferin" journal published in Poland in the early 90's and further as editor for the "Araz" journal, published in Sweden. Currently he is editor-in-chief of "The World Azerbaijanis" journal published in USA.
