Alexandra Kitty is a freelance journalist who specializes in crime and media issues and has written for Elle Canada, Presstime, Current, Quill, Critical Review, Maisonneuve, Skeptic and Editor & Publisher, and is the author of two media criticism books: Don't Believe It!: How Lies Become News and OutFoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism. She won the 2004 Arch Award from McMaster University and is currently working on an investigative documentary film. She lives in Hamilton, Ontario.
