About the Author

Dr. David Baggett is a Professor of Philosophy at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He previously taught at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. His areas of interest include philosophy and popular culture, philosophical theology, ethics, philosophy of religion and philosophy of sport. He has published about three dozen articles and reviews and written or edited over a dozen books; most recently he co-authored (with Jerry Walls) God and Cosmos: Moral Truth and Human Meaning (OUP, 2016), and, with his wife Marybeth, both At the Bend of the River Grand (Emeth, 2016) and The Morals of the Story: Good News about a Good God (IVP Academic, 2018). He's the co-editor (with Jerry Walls and Jeremy Neill) of the forthcoming Venus and Virtue (Cascade, 2017), and he's also the founder and executive editor of MoralApologetics.com. Education Ph.D., Wayne State University, 2002 M.Div., Asbury Theological Seminary, 1992 B.A., University of Michigan-Dearborn, 1988 Gary R. Habermas is a Distinguished Research Professor and chair of the Department of Philosophy and Theology at Liberty University. He has authored, coauthored or edited thirty books (including fifteen on the subject of the resurrection of Jesus). He has also contributed more than fifty chapters or articles to other books, plus more than 100 articles in journals and other publications. During the past ten years or so, he has been a visiting or adjunct professor at about fifteen different graduate schools and seminaries in the United States and abroad. He and his wife, Eileen, have seven children and six grandchildren, all living in Lynchburg, Virginia. Walls is Professor of Philosophy and Scholar in Residence at Houston Baptist University. Among his books is a trilogy on the afterlife, and more recently a popular synthesis of those books, namely, Heaven, Hell and Purgatory: Rethinking the Things that Matter Most (Brazos, 2015). He is also co-author, with David Baggett, of Good God: The Theistic Foundations of Morality (OUP, 2011) and God and Cosmos: Moral Truth and Human Meaning (OUP, 2016). He is also co-editor (with Trent Dougherty) of Two Dozen (or so) Arguments for God: The Plantinga Project (forthcoming OUP).
