Enterprise IP networks will typically employ the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol in one capacity or another. The documentation available for this routing protocol is covered in many different resources but there is no single source that brings every OSPF routing protocol command together in one reference as a handbook. Beyond background information, there also is little information available on its practical use and configuration. The handbook approach is unique in that at least one scenario is presented for every OSPF routing protocol configuration command. The purpose, proper use, configuration, verification, and debugging of the command is presented. Therefore, network designers and candidates for any of the Cisco® Career Certifications from CCNA® to CCIE® can use this handbook.
