Ryan Casey Waller is a preacher and teacher, a father and a (recovering) lawyer. He lives and works in Dallas, Texas with his wife Caroline, and sons Ford Casey and Charles Henry.
Ryan Waller is a gifted story-teller, a practical theologian, and a
lover of people. He practices what he preaches. Namely, that our
vulnerability is the gateway to hope and healing. Something sacred
happens when we make ourselves vulnerable to one another - we
connect, he writes. And in connection, we find healing and life.
Ryan brings a much-needed gift to the church today - a powerful
message of hope that begins with the recognition of our brokenness.
A place where we all can begin.--Jeff Warren
Broken is what we all are--no exceptions--and Ryan Waller calls us
deftly, gently, winsomely to this admission through biblical
vignettes and life reflections. Though we are broken, yet there is
hope. In each chapter, Waller offers words of hope rooted in Jesus
Christ and in our common humanity when shared with one
another.--Pricilla Pope-Levison
Ryan has given us a gift in the stories that fill these pages.
Eloquent and accessible, honest and insightful, Ryan gives us
permission to tell the truth about our doubts, fears, and
struggles. His vulnerability reminds us that Christianity is for
those of us who feel lost. And his sense of hope encourages us to
acknowledge our brokenness, because there we find grace.--Julie
Rodgers
