Reviews

A great story of leadership, accomplishment, and good humour …
*former leader of the Ontario Liberal Party (1967–76)*

This is a must read for anyone interested in Ontario politics. Greg Sorbara takes us on the roller-coaster ride of the past three decades encompassing seven premiers, three different parties in power, and a sea change in the province’s economic and political culture. To accompany us on the ride, there is a rich supply of insider anecdotes from someone who was directly involved in all the changes.
*former Queen's Park columnist for the Toronto Star, 1997–2007*

Greg Sorbara weaves the personal and political in charting the rise and fall of premiers and providing back-stories on leadership conventions, general elections and thorny political issues. A great read for students of politics in Ontario and lots of grist for the media.

Tony Dean, cabinet secretary and head of the OPS (2002–08), professor at the School of Public Policy & Governance at University of Toronto
*School of Public Policy & Governance at University of Toronto*

This is an immediate, informative take on twenty-five years of Ontario’s political history, with a sharp eye to the future.
*editor-in-chief, The Globe and Mail, 1989–99*

If you were alive between 1985 and 2014, you'll want to read this book — it’s a winner.
*president emeritus, York University*

An inspiring story, laced with humour and unique insight that will warm the hearts of political aficionados everywhere.
*deputy chair of TD Bank and former premier of New Brunswick*

[An] insightful book from one of modern Ontario’s most influential figures. It provides deep insight and personal reflections on both the policy process and the real world of politics [and] from a man who has shaped the evolution of Ontario as much as anyone in the past three decades.
*University of Toronto*
