Eva Blackstone has always been fascinated by language and storytelling. She was eleven when she won her first poetry contest and has been writing poetry, short stories, and full-length novels ever since. The power of friendship is a common theme in all of her work. She has lived all over the U.S., traveled all over the world, and currently lives in the Midwest with her husband, three human children, and two furry children. Kat Powell has been an artist since she was twelve years old and has been working as a professional artist since 2008. She earned a BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in painting/drawing from Texas Tech University in 2010. She has shown her artwork in New York and Texas galleries and towards the end of college she began her career as an illustrator.
