About the Author

Rafael A. Permuy Lopez was born in Ferrol in 1949. He has served as a Major in the Reserve Artillery of the Spanish Army and has a masters degree in social communication from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He has worked as an editor and writer for different media in Galicia as well as for military magazines throughout Spain. He has written many articles and books on military subjects and history.
