Marci McGuinness is a southwestern Pennsylvania native. Her loves of Ohiopyle and the written word have led her to record local history, so that it is not lost in the "progress shuffle." The author has written and published 20 books and several magazines, most of which have been self published. She also served as Managing Editor at Cornell Maritime Press/Tidewater Publishers where she published books by many authors and professors about Chesapeake Bay and Maritime topics. Today she resides in Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania with her Jack Russell Terrier, Jake.
